Only verified firms who are live in the directory appear at all. Platinum cannot change that, which is why it only becomes available once you are live.
A small number of positions are pinned by our team for editorial reasons. Those pins are not sold at any price.
Below any pins, Platinum members appear above standard listings. Every member gets the same boost, so nobody can pay more to jump another member.
Among Platinum members, the directory’s normal ordering decides who appears first. Where we have enough data, we show you your own position today before you pay.
Every Platinum listing carries this label, and the directory explains that Platinum is paid placement. We label it because people choosing a lawyer deserve to know when a position has been paid for.
It is an add-on, not a plan. You can hold it alongside any plan, including the free one, and buying it never changes the plan you are on.
No. Verification is a separate check by our team and it cannot be bought. Platinum only changes where a listing that has already passed verification appears.
No. Until your listing is live in the directory there is no position for Platinum to improve, so we do not sell it. The option appears as soon as you are live.
No. Every Platinum member gets the same fixed boost, positions pinned by our team stay above paid ones, and positions move as other profiles change. Where we have enough data, we show you where Platinum members typically appear before you pay.

No. Firm Platinum lifts your firm’s listing in the firms directory. Each lawyer’s own profile in the lawyers directory is separate, and a lawyer can add Platinum to their own profile.
Only the firm’s administrator on YCounsel. Other members of the firm can see the offer but cannot buy it for the firm.
