Assault Charge Defence Advice and Representation

I was arrested following an incident at a pub last month and have been charged with common assault. I maintain I acted in self-defence, but the police report doesn't reflect what actually happened. I need someone experienced to review the evidence, advise me on my options, and represent me at magistrates' court. This is my first brush with the criminal justice system and I'm quite anxious about the process.
